Decorating: Music Note Cupcakes

Today I am going to share a mini tutorial on how to decorate music note cupcakes! These are adorable to bring to any concert or musical event. Enjoy!

Start with plain cupcakes of your choice. (I used a boxed vanilla cake mix!)

Frost your cupcakes with white icing. (You can even try using a different color to match your school, event, etc.)

Next, pipe a black dot onto the cupcake for the note “head” using a large decorating tip. Depending on what rhythm you make, you may need to pipe multiple dots.

Lastly, make the “stem” of the note by piping a vertical line with black icing. Use a smaller decorating tip for this. You can add a “flag” to the note as well- I made an eighth note!

Have fun making different musical notes and rhythms! Here I piped a treble clef to mix things up. 🙂

Have a great Friday and Happy Baking!
